Air Quality Testing
Concerned about your chemical exposure? Let us help! Are you suffering from a host of health issues yet you’re doing everything right? The health of our indoor air quality is crucial to our well-being. Eating a pasture-based, organic, non-gmo diet is a great start, but if you breath in toxins all day long, your health will not be as optimal as you hope. The quality of the air you breath is just as crucial as the diet you eat.
In our Indoor Air Quality Assessment, we address each of the following issues in detail:
- Visual assessment of heating, air conditioning and ventilation system
- Evaluation of indoor temperature and humidity
- Evaluation of adequacy of air ventilation
- Testing and evaluation of particulate matter in indoor air (particulate matter may contribute to allergies and other health conditions)
- Checking for unwanted gases
- Evaluation of cleaning products
- Visual interior inspection for water or moisture damage
- Mold testing may be conducted based on results of visual inspection
- Water quality testing if desired
- Radon testing if desired
We provide complete Air Quality Assessment including detailed written report of findings and recommendations. However, when we perform home inspections, it’s important to note that we typically find there are other indoor air quality issues in addition to chemicals and ventilation issues. Oftentimes our clients believe they have one issue in their home when in fact we discover multiple confounding issues. This explains why remediation for a single issue does not necessarily resolve all symptoms and some family members may remain sick. This is why we recommend that you speak with us before scheduling testing so we can learn more about your specific situation and make the appropriate recommendation.
A La Carte Services:
VOC Testing
Do you have respiratory issues, allergies, headaches, or other symptoms you can get under control? With our building materials and furnishings, our homes can be riddled with chemicals. Our 2-hour VOC test can help you identify what chemicals your exposed to in your home or workplace. Includes actively growing mold spores.
Formaldehyde Testing
Formaldehyde is a “probable human carcinogen” according to the EPA. Unfortunately, many of our building materials and furnishings can contain surprisingly high amounts. Keep your family safe by knowing their exposure.
Mold Testing
Mold exposure can cause severe health issues. Mold cannot be killed, bleached, or scrubbed away, it must be removed. If you are at all concerned about mold growth or water issues in your home, consider testing. We provide air samples, swabs, tape-lifts, ERMI, HERTSMI, and air samples behind/in walls.
