Food and Drink
While the best way to get your food and beverages is to grow your own and shop local, let’s face it, that’s not always possible. So to fill in the gaps, I have listed my favorite sources for high-quality food items below.
Purity Coffee
This is my absolute favorite coffee. Before 2020 I was NOT a coffee drinker, but I did always crave something a little more substantial than my morning tea. When my doctor turned me on to Purity, I never looked back. This coffee is low-mold, low-acrylamide, organic, and very gentle on the stomach. It’s the only coffee that doesn’t give me a stomach ache! I especially like the sachet’s so I can take it when I travel and not get stuck buying poor quality coffee or tea.
Danger Coffee
Danger Coffee has also earned a spot in my morning routine. What I love about this coffee is that it’s remineralized, low mold, high in antioxidants and micro-nutrients, and best of all, Farm Direct. In today’s world is harder and harder to support small companies directly, and if I can do that with a stellar product, I’m in! Try it out with my 10% off code: Cathy10.

Captian Soup
I love the mission of Captian Soup – to bring uber healthy, on-the-go meals to everyone. This is easily the highest quality, most nutritent dense ‘fast’ good you can buy. An excellent thing to have on hand when you’re in a pinch and need something nutritious. These are especially helpful when you’re sick, having surgery, or just can’t get yourself to cook a healthy meal. A true lifesaver.
Kids Cook Real Food
This is not a food item, but a food course. If you have picky kids, (and who doesn’t!) this is a fantastic course that will teach your kids good eating and cooking habits. Getting your kids engaged in the process is key to producing life-long healthy habits
Cleaning Supplies
When it comes to improving your indoor air quality, besides opening your windows (yes right now, go do it now!) choosing better cleaning products is the easiest and most influential thing you can do. Remember that everything you spray in your home, even if it’s on the counter or the floor, you are breathing in directly. You wouldn’t inhale bleach, so why would you spray it on your counters? I have listed my favorite options below, all of which I use daily.
Branch Basics
May favorite brand for cleaning every area of your home. The concentrate and reusable bottles also make this an environmentally friendly option. I use it for nearly everything in my home.
Truly Free
A great natural product line designed to reduce plastic waste. Just refill your bottles with their minimal packaging refills. I especially like the laundry machine cleaner.
Borax
When you need something a little abrasive, borax does the trick. I also use one scoop in every load of laundry, especially after my mold inspections. Borax is a great anti-fungal for the laundry
Hydrogen Peroxide
The best disinfectant that can be found, and 100% non-toxic. Can be used for all your cleaning needs. Pro Tip- avoid the cheap brown bottle versions as they can contain heavy metals.
Blueland Dishwasher Pods
Plant and mineral based cleaning pods without plastic, preservatives, dyes, fragrances, and phosphates.
Miele Vacuum
One the best most effective vacuums on the market. With a sealed container and bag, it eliminates the increase in dust that most vacuums produce.
Air Filters Delivered
Save money on furnace filters and get them delivered straight to your door. Never forget to switch out your filter again!
Mattresses and Bedding
You know the saying, you spend more than a 1/3 of your life in bed. And as such, you want the cleanest, healthiest, non-toxic mattress you can find. I find this area to be particularly challenging as creating a great product that is also comfortable can be at odds with each other. There are a lot of new companies out there making better mattresses, which I am very happy about, but with that also comes greenwashing, so be sure to do your homework.
My favorite companies for mattresses and bedding are Organix and White Lotus, both listed below.
Organix Mattress
This is the absolute best bed on the market. I can’t believe a mattress can be this comfortable! And now with even more certifications, including GOTS, GOLS, OEKO-Tex, CertiPUR-US, and GREENGUARD GOLD.
When you use the code WHBH, not only will you save 15%, but you’ll also receive free premium sheets, a free mattress protector AND free ground shipping!
White Lotus Home
Save money on furnace filters and get them delivered straight to your door. Never forget to switch out your filter again!
Water Bottles
When did carrying a water bottle with you everywhere you go become a thing? Back in my day, no one did this. Today, our water bottles are like another limb! I’m glad we’re more conscious about hydration. Since you’re using your bottle every single day, it’s an especially important item to source well. I prefer glass and stainless steel. Glass is great for when you’re at home, stainless steel when out and bottle.
Here’s my favorite options. Oh, and DO NOT forget to wash your bottle frequently. It will harbor mold and bacteria, I know, I’ve tested them. Every other day is a usually good
Hydroflask Stainless Steel Water Bottles
Beaker Glass Water Bottle
Natural Water Bottle Brush
Glass Water Bottles
Cookeware
Clean, healthy cookware is so important. We spend well-earned on money on organic, local, free-range and grass-fed foods. Don’t ‘tox’ it up by putting it in a non-stick pan! I’m a fan of stainless steel and carbon steel. Cast iron can also be a good option if you don’t mind the weight. Below are some great options for your kitchen.
Corelle Vitrelle 18-Piece Set
Corelle Vitrelle 6-Piece Set
Corelle® Vivid White 8-Pack
Stainless Steel Pan Set
Stainless Steel Water Kettle
Carbon Steel Pan
Cast Iron Skillet
Glass Teapot

Food Storage
Just like with cookware, we don’t want to ‘tox’ up our clean, healthy food with gross chemicals and additives when we store it! Glass containers are a great option. I use both Pyrex and Anchor brands, and then replace the lids with silicone versions. See links for this below. I also like the Stasher silicone bags for cold, non-acidic items. These work especially well while traveling
